Welcome to: Reclaim the Present Moment

Welcome to the first rendition of a busic –  a book that uses music to help people learn about a particular topic.

As the title Reclaim the Present Moment suggests, this busic is designed to provide support for the many individuals currently striving to live more fully in the present.

In addition to the playlists, each busic also includes an introduction that tells why I came to create a playlist on that particular aspect of living in the present. This means you can choose how to use each busic:

  • You could just read my introductions to learn what the songs helped me figure out about living in the present.
  • You could just listen to the songs to get your own insights on living in the present.
  • Or you could do both together – Read my introductions and listen to the songs.

I sequenced the twelve busics in the order I had created them, but feel free to use them in any order. Depending on where you are in your process, you might want to start with the NOW busic, or the Gratitude busic or the Authenticity busic. Personal growth is always personal.

The twelve busics playlists can be accessed on any page using the menu bar at the top. The busics are designed to answer four key questions:

What do I want to be?  Alive
1. NOW (No Other Way)
2. Aliveness
3. Live Your Life

What do I need to do?   Awake
4. MIND (Mistaken Identification with a Nagging Demon)
5. Uncover Your Original Script
6. Dark Side

What do I get to have?  Appreciation
7. Gratitude
8. Authenticity
9. Passion

What do I need to regain?  Trust
10. New Script (OS 2.0)
11. True Self
12. This Moment Is a Present

I’m not going to tell you how long it took me to create these busics and regain the present moment – at least sometimes, on a good day. If I told you how long it took me, you’d give up before you even started. But I will tell you that the journey back to your life and the only moments that you’ll ever have is a trip worth taking.

Dedication

I refer to people who have maintained a lifelong interest in personal growth as “the people on the bus.” Not everybody got on the bus. Not everybody wants to get on the bus. But those of us who got on the bus know who we are, and we aren’t getting off. This site is dedicated to the people on the bus.
